Easter isn't over.
Yes, yesterday was Easter Sunday, but our celebration is just getting started — or at least it should be. This is the second day in the Easter Octave — eight days of glorias and double alleluias. The octave will be followed by 42 more days of the Easter season.
Sadly, however, Easter Monday can easily become a day to get back to our ordinary routine.
Catholics can often focus so much on giving something up for Lent that there’s little gas left in the tank to savor the central event of our faith.
It would be as if an engaged couple spent a year planning a wedding reception and then left just after making their grand entrance.
This is a time to celebrate — and to do so together.
I was thus delighted to hear that there's a great opportunity for young adults in the Ignatian family to share Easter joy in community.
