Made for Greatness
Mediocrity is boring.
Christians follow a Savior who exuded both welcome and challenge.
Christ healed the sick, touched lepers, welcomed children, and befriended tax collectors. He invited the weary to come to him and taught about a God who goes after the lost sheep.
He also taught his disciples to sin no more, love their enemies, eat his flesh, and make disciples. He said, "Whoever does not carry the cross and follow me cannot be my disciple."
Welcome without challenge would neither be Christian nor interesting.
We often choose what is easy or pleasurable, but on a deeper level, we want something more than comfort. We want a challenge.
We were made for greatness.
